Welcome to my personal blog! This is currently a work in progress, so please excuse the mess.
I wanted a space to write about my interests, but as an aging millennial, I've always felt more comfortable with the mid-to-late 90's aesthetic than with all that Web-2.0 junk (I like to pretend that Web-3 never happened, thanks). Plus, all the reputable math and physics sites look like they were plucked fresh from circa 1999, and, well...something, something, dress for the job you want. So in this space, I'll be writing about some physics problems from textbooks for those who are interested in that kind of thing. I might also write about some of my other interests from time to time.
Partway through my graduate degree, I developed some health problems, and I decided to take a leave of absence to deal with them. During that time, I did a lot of soul-searching about my life and my career, and decided to change research topics. Part of this process involved me going back to my old textbooks and working through problems simply for the joy of it. (Perhaps this sounds a little odd, but I've always been a nerd.) Towards the end of my leave, I took a look at all my work and thought it would be a shame to toss it all away. That, and I've found that explaining something to someone else always helps clarify my understanding of it as well.
As much as I'd like to make it easy for people to get in touch with me, I really don't want a bunch of spam-bots and scammers contacting me. I'm setting up a way to hopefully get around this, so sit tight for now...once everything's in place, you can tell me just how much I am wrong on the Internet. (In all seriousness, I do welcome serious communications about errors or misunderstandings! I just want to keep a clean inbox.)
